I’ve been to my fair share of games and have never once seen the Knicks win, until tonight! Granted it was against one of the worst teams this season, Miami, but a win is a win.
As a testament to how many games I’ve been to where I’ve seen them lose, I even took a picture of them leading in the first half cause I didn’t think the lead would last.

With about 22 seconds left, Miami ended up tied with the Knicks and the game went into overtime.

The Knicks ended up winning 103 to 96. And I have to admit, it was a fun game (I usually get so tired of the Knicks losing that I leave after the halftime show, but this time I stayed for the entire thing)!
My first game of the year and it was a good one! Having gone to a good share of Knicks games in the last 4 years, I have never seen the Knicks win, but today changed all that.
The Bad: No Kobe Bryant! Jeff’s mom came all the way to NY from Virginia just to see Kobe, but no Kobe! Boo.
The Good: Fat Curry! He actually made almost all his free throws.
And of course, no Knicks game is complete without my spending a majority of the night looking for celebrities. This night did not disappoint. A list of celebrity sightings at the game:
- Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo sitting next to someone that might be Eve
- Donald Trump (he got a lot of boos)
- Kareem Abdul Jabar (unlike Donald, he got a standing ovation)
- Spike Lee (no game is complete without a Spike sighting)
- Jon Stewart (Did anyone see Bill Gates on his show last night?)
Alas, there was no dancing Brooke Shields tonight, but at least the Knicks won! Here’s to more wins in 2007.

Can you spot Jon Stewart?

Fat Curry!

Went to a Knicks vs. Celtics game last night. The Knicks blow; they let the Celtics score 40 points in the first quarter! Like the stalker that I am, I spent the rest of the night scouring the seats for celebrities. Alas, no Spike Lee, but Ruvolo, who had way better seats that I did, managed to get a picture of Chris Kattan:
